Harlan S. Wootton, 90, of Heritage Village, Southbury, died on May 22, 2010 at his home. He was the widower of Dorothy Wootton.
Mr. Wootton was born Sept. 10, 1919, in Brooklyn, son of the late Harlan and Ethel Wootton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and retired as vice president of sales for Dolly Madison Co. He was a long-time resident of Heritage Village and founder of the Manhasset Social Club.
He leaves two sons, Roger H. Wootton of Port Washington and Greg F. Wootton of Oakdale, NY; his daughter Adrienne W. Thomson of Sands Point; two brothers, Spencer Wootton and Kenneth Wootton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Samsel.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 26 in Sacred Heart Church, Southbury. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Arrangements were made by the by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
