Karen Majer Regan, age 64, beloved wife of Peter M. Regan, and resident of Onancock, VA, passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2009. Born in January 1945, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Ruth Majer of Port Washington.
In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by her son David G. Biddle of Silver Spring, MD; her three step-daughters, Katherine Simone of Port Washington, Christine Regan of Westbury and Jennifer Burke of Holliston, MA; her sisters, Stephanie Teff and Andrea Quigley, both of Port Washington; a brother Christopher Majer of Santa Rosa, CA; and seven grandchildren, whom Karen dearly loved.
Raised in Port Washington, Karen attended Oneonta State College and later Boston University. Karen worked and retired from the family insurance business, and had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed golf as a member of the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club and was a great animal enthusiast. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
A memorial service was held at the family home in Onancock on Sept. 14. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastern Shore SPCA, P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
