Obituary: Norman G. Seifts

Norman G. Seifts, 89 yrs., of Honey Brook, PA, formerly of Port Washington, died Dec. 2, 2011 at the Meadows Health Care Center at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, following an illness.

He was born in New York City on Feb. 3, 1922. Norman was the son of the late Nelson and Florence (Bannister) Seifts. He was the husband of Ingrid (Olson) Seifts, with whom she shared 19 years of marriage.

Norman was a draftsman during his working years. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army and was an avid military historian. Norman enjoyed writing and had some of his poems published. He was also a member of the NRA and an American Legion Post in California.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Seifts.

Norman is survived in addition to his wife by his daughters, Kimberly Wizer and Jennifer Geller both of Westlake Village, CA. There are also three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Tel Hai Retirement Community, 3100 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, PA, with Pastor Tim Herr officiating. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service. For directions to the Tel Hai Retirement Community, visit Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in California.
