Warm temperatures and partly sunny skies attracted large crowds to HarborFest on Sunday, June 6. Even though the festival had to close early when severe weather threatened later in the afternoon, most events were able to take place.
The lower Main Street area and Town Dock were filled with people enjoying the 20th annual HarborFest on the waterfront of beautiful Manhasset Bay. The Fun Park and Fun Stage attracted thousands of children and their families, as did the craft fair, food court and vendor booths. The model boat regatta at the Mill Pond was a great success and Art in the Park was busy all day. A big attraction on Main Street was the Wells Fargo Stage Coach, which offered free rides to cowboys and cowgirls of all ages.
The Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, organizer of HarborFest, announced that next year, HarborFest will be on Sunday, June 5, 2011 – save the date!
