John Hammond & David Lindley

John Hammond is a 2011 Blues Hall of Fame Inductee and a triple threat – vocal chops, harmonica and guitar playing that’s described as a force of nature.  David Lindley is well known as Jackson Browne’s long-time collaborator, but in his solo career, he provides an electro-acoustic performance combining American folk, blues and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy and Turkish musical sources. Mammograms at Senior Center

A local mammogram program will take place at the Port Washington Senior Center (parking lot), 80 Manorhaven Blvd., from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This special program is sponsored by the Nassau Health Care Corporation. Applicants must be at least 40 years of age to qualify. Priority for this service will be given to uninsured women. Please bring a prescription from your doctor (if applicable) the day of the mammogram and copies of your prior films (if applicable) for comparison. Appointments are required. Time to go through your closets, dressers, toy chest, kitchen, basement, garage & attic. Donations can be dropped off starting Wednesday, May 1 through Friday, May 10  @ Mill Pond Road, (cross street Shore Road). Leave all clothing donations in plastic bags (in case of rain) under the carport, on the left hand side of the house. Extra large donations (furniture or heavy items) can also be left in the carport.
