Charlotte M. Kappenberg (nee Roehrig), age 82, a longtime resident of Sands Point, died on March 20, 2009. Charlotte is survived by her husband Donald H.; her children, Veronica E. Raible, Charlotte J. Raible (Wayne Weiss); and her sister Jane Diaks. She was an alumnus of Hunter College and completed graduate work at Columbia University. Charlotte was an active member of the American Association of University Women for over 50 years and generously contributed to charity through the Raible Foundation. Funeral arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter of Alcantara on March 23. Interment Nassau Knowles Cemetery.
