    The Annual Menorah Lighting at the LIRR sponsored by Chabad of Port Washington was held last Sunday. The kick-off for the Festival of Lights conveyed the spirit of the holiday as stated by Rabbi Palteil as it provided "warmth, joy, strength and inspiration" to all who attended this festive event.   • News: PWPD's John Chalker Honored by NC Police Reserves

    Recently, a dinner was hosted by the Nassau County Police Reserves at The Westbury Manor. All Nassau police officers who served on active military duty since 9/11/01 were honored. The program listed at least 75 federal, state, district, county, city and village officers who served in this war on terror in the state and federal military forces. FULL STORY

  • Sports: St. Peter's Honors Jack Sullivan

    St. Peter's Annual Timothy C. Kelly Golf and Tennis Classic in the spring of 2008 included a new Live Auction Item sponsored by auctioneer Dan O'Connell. Kelly and Patrick Dennis won the final bid to name St. Peter's Gym for one year in honor of Kelly's father, Jack Sullivan. FULL STORY
