The sun shone bright on Port's Veterans Day Observance this year. The ceremony was solemn and emotional as the color guard and Port's veterans stood on the stage when John Pickow proudly sang the National Anthem. Iraq war veteran John Chalker moved the crowd with his recitation of Joyce Kilmer's Rouge Bouquet.

Taps played by Korean War veteran Vince Borkowski had many guests choked up,
