A panel of experts will discuss "Energy Options, From Windmills to Solar Panels" at Port Washington-Manhasset League of Women Voters' fall meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Port Washington Public Library. Anticipated speakers include a representative of LIPA, a community environmentalist and lawmakers from Town of North Hempstead. Focusing on solar power will be Robert Brooks, a local homeowner who has "gone solar," and Jonathan Lane, a solar power contractor. Questions from the audience will be welcomed.
"We all have a lot of questions about energy conservation and alternate energy sources," says Jane Thomas, LWV president, "Here's a chance to get a lot of answers."
