I think parking should be free on Main Street in Port Washington. The main street in Manhasset (Plandome Road) has free parking. Since Manhasset has free street parking, why not in Port Washington? Parking meters gives our town an "uptight' feeling. It is also annoying to have to look for quarters in one's handbag or pocket. Perhaps if we had free parking here it would also benefit the businesses here in Port Washington. Our high tax bills should include this "perk."
