The Port Washington Predators Boys U14 Soccer team won first place in John Smith Soccer Tournament in Devens, MA, over Memorial Day Weekend. The team faced formidable competition from Division 1 and Division 2 teams from Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The first day the team played two grueling games in the 90-degree heat at 2:15 p.m. and again at 4:45 p.m.. The following day the team played three games; the first at 8 a.m. and again, in impossible heat, the semi-finals and finals at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively. The team had nothing left by the third game but understood that the victor would be the team with the greater will to win. Congratulations on a hard fought victory. Logo
