Warm temperatures, blue skies and a delightful breeze led to record crowds at HarborFest on Sunday, June 1. The lower Main Street area and Town Dock were filled with people enjoying a day on the waterfront of beautiful Manhasset Bay. The Fun Park and Fun Stage attracted thousands of children and their families, as did the craft fair, food court and vendor booths. The model boat regatta at the Mill Pond also had a record number of participants, and Art in the Park was busy all day. A big new attraction this year was the Wells Fargo Stage Coach, which offered free rides to cowboys and cowgirls of all ages. The Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, organizer of HarborFest, announced that next year HarborFest will be on Sunday, June 7, 2009 - Save The Date!
