The race is on for the playoffs as the Port Washington Football Vikings (4-2) takes to the gridiron for their final regular season home game under the lights this Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. against Long Beach (1-5).
The evening promises to be a fun-filled exciting finale to what has proven to be an outstanding season for our hometown Vikings. Opening ceremonies will include a farewell salute to our outgoing seniors and their parents. The talented Schreiber band will fill the air with music, our energetic cheerleaders will lead the fans in rooting for the team and our lovely Portettes will entertain us as they dance to the music on our new turf field. Halftime continues with the big kick contest. Tickets will be on sale prior to the start of the game. So come out and root for the 2007 Schreiber Varsity Football team as they continue their drive to the Nassau County playoffs.
The Port Washington Football Booster Club and all of our JV, varsity players and their families would like to thank Michael Mazzeo Electric Corp. and Carlo Lizza and Sons Paving Inc. for their generous support in providing the lights for our only home night game.
