The Port Washington School District opened its doors for the 2007-'08 school year to 5,011 students last Wednesday. This year's enrollment of 5,000 plus is an increase of 94 students from June 2007's final enrollment number of 4,917. Fencing, the sport of fighting with swords, is not a common sport in Port Washington. In fact, there are only three Schreiber students who actually do fence. There is not even a fencing team at Schreiber High School, and the students who do want to participate in competitions have to do so individually at other schools' fencing events. FULL STORY
