The Port Washington Library Foundation's Fourth Inspiration Gala will take place Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club in Port Washington. The scheduled system enhancements include the following projects: Full-Scale Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) and Total Residual Chlorine (TRC) Reduction, Bio-solids Refractory Rehabilitation and Outfall Line Rehabilitation. This has been a sizzling summer for Swim Across America/Nassau-Suffolk (SAA/NS). SAA/NS was founded in 2001 to raise funds and awareness here on LI for cancer research, prevention and treatment.
