To all who congratulated us on our being honored by The Community Chest as Citizens of the Year, whether you expressed it by your presence at the library on June 7, or through donations to the Chest, or by placing an ad or your name in The Chest's Journal, or by your cards, floral arrangements sent to us, phone calls, or in person, we are deeply grateful, appreciative, honored, and overwhelmed. In truth, through the years, it has been a two-way street for us and Port Washington. Its residents, organizations, and institutions have contributed so much to our lives and those of our children and extended family that we can unquestionably and without hesitation say we have received much more than we have given. It has been most enriching. It is our sincerest wish that this continues and that we give to "Port" - Our Town - for as long as we can. Thank you ad infinitum for making all of this possible.
