It's been a fantastic season for Schreiber's Boys Track Team. Its season's record is 12-1, which is the best finish since 1982. At The Port Invitational, Richard Schmitz won the 800, 1600 and 3200. He did the 1600 in an amazing 424 flat. Ebube Abara won the 110 hurdles and the 400 hurdles and Arnold Donado won the shotput. Port won the Invitational Track meet in back-to-back years and medaled in every event.
As the season came to an end and the individual records were evaluated, many team members were recognized for their excellent performances. Ebube Abara received he distinction of "All-County" for the hurdles. Matt Braunstein and Arnold Donado received "All-Division" in shotput. Carlos Molina received "All-Division" in discus and Richard Schmitz is the County Champion in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meters. He has qualified for the 1600, as he moves on to compete in the state meet. Coach Jeremy Klaff is extremely proud of his team. "They work hard and are committed to performing at the highest level possible. They cease to amaze me as it's been such an exciting season for all of us."
