Christopher J. McKenna, of Southold, died on May 1, 2007 at his residence. He was 84 years old. Mr. McKenna was born in Port Washington on July 3, 1922 to Thomas and Catherine (nee Lagan) McKenna. In 1950, he married the former Ann Moshier at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Port Washington and together they made their home, for many years, in Massapequa Park. They moved to Southold 20 years ago.

Chris enjoyed golfing, fishing and making and repairing watches and will be best remembered for his "green thumb" in his garden and lawn.

Predeceased by his wife Ann L. McKenna on March 27, 2006, he leaves four daughters, Sharon Goldsmith of Southold, Christine McKenna of Patchogue, Patricia Knatz of Holtsville and Theresa Ott of Copiague; a sister Catherine Salerno of Port Washington; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home, Southold. Religious services were held with Father Thomas Murray presiding. Interment St. Patrick's RC Cemetery, Southold. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
