Nassau League of Women Voters Celebrates National History Month
The Nassau County League of Women Voters (LWV) recently held its 22nd Annual Women's History Month Celebration and Dinner at the George Washington Manor in Roslyn. The theme of the well-attended and festive event was "Making a Better World." Barbara Fairfax, Women's History Committee chair, presided.

Important Information About the School Budget
The State of New York has provided, through legislation in Chapter 61 of the Laws of 2006, for a new program to provide additional funding for building/capital projects that meet a set of criteria established by the State. Port Washington is eligible to be reimbursed for $606,539 in expenses. This item will be presented as Proposition #2 on the ballot during the school district budget vote on May 15.

On Saturday, April 14, members of Schreiber's JV and Varsity softball teams hosted a clinic for the girls in the PYA softball program at Lions Field. Girls ranging in age from 5 to 12 worked side-by-side with the high school players, developing their softball skills.
