Left-Hand Turn Lane Onto Shore Road Moves Forward
The wheels have been set in motion for the creation of a left-hand turn lane onto Shore Road from Main Street, heading east. At a recent meeting of the Town of North Hempstead board, council people voted unanimously to move forward by approving the acquisition of the property at 310 Main Street, the southwest corner of Jackson and Main Street. This property would be redeveloped into a metered parking lot for 15-20 cars, possibly more.
