I wish to comment on the discussions about additional commuter parking. While I concede parking is limited, I would prefer to avoid the visual blight that garages would create. The largest single lot appears to be the one to the east side of the train station. It features six rows of roughly 35 cars each. Yet it also has one very wide access corridor and two (tree lined) raised islands. If the islands were eliminated and the scheme re-planned for maximum occupancy, it is likely we could obtain 35-70 additional parking spots at minimal cost.
