Alec J. Noga, 81, a longtime resident of Port Washington, died on Dec. 8, 2006. He was a WWII veteran who served at Normandy. Alec was the owner of Noga Gas Station and Noga Parts House. He was a member of the Elks, VFW, American Legion, PW Polish American Association, The Clan and the Gordon Highlanders Pipe Band. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; children, Linda, Carol (John) and Kenneth (Ameena); and grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie and Robert. Also survived by his siblings, Peter, Bruno, Mary, Gene and Bernice and his granddaughter Sharon. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. Religious service at the funeral home. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
Adeline Marie Picone, a lifelong resident of Port Washington, died on Dec. 12, 2006. Adeline was predeceased by her siblings, Mari, Eugene and Theresa. She is survived by two nieces who will miss her dearly. Arrangements were made by the Austin F. Knowles Funeral Home, Port Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 16 at St. Peter of Alcantara RC Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
