We are opposed to the building of The Bradley Hotel in Port Washington. As I stated in my letter of a few weeks back, we already have a traffic congestion problem in this town and building a 52-room hotel with conference and banquet facilities to accommodate 125 people will just make the problem much, much worse.
Do enough tourists visit Port Washington to justify a hotel of the size that is planned for The Bradley? We feel a 10-room bed and breakfast is much more suitable to our town, its size and overall ambience. I don't think we need to turn Port Washington into a metropolis, when we have the greatest city in the world less than 25 miles away.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
