Ann L. McKenna, of Southold died suddenly on March 27, 2006 at Eastern LI Hospital in Greenport. She was 79 years old. Mrs. McKenna was born in Port Washington on Aug. 26, 1926 to Elbert Layton and Ann (nee Leitz) Moshier. In 1950 she married Christopher J. McKenna and together they made their home, for many years, in Massapequa Park. They moved to Southold 20 years ago. Ann was a devoted homemaker and worked for a time at Yorkville Industries in Farmingdale. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Surviving are her husband Christopher J.; four daughters, Sharon Goldsmith of Southold, Christine McKenna of Patchogue, Patricia Knatz of Holtsville and Theresa Ott of Copiague; two brothers, Charles and Edward Moshier, both of North Carolina; a sister Marie Lewis of Port Washington; and seven grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes, Southold. Religious services officiated by Raymond Birkel. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Southold. Memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
