PWEA Holds Public Forum on Proposed School Budget
The Port Washington Education Foundation (PWEA) sponsored a second public forum to discuss the proposed budget of the Port Washington School District. PWEA President Frank Russo said that the main purpose of the forum was to address the question, "Is the new budget reasonable?"

Warm Reception at Senior Center
Spring was in the air on Sunday, April 2 when the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center (PWSCC) hosted a fabulous event to welcome and thank donors and other supporters. Residents, businesses and representatives from various local organizations and government joined the center's board of directors in a festive reception. Guests enjoyed classical music, gourmet cheese, tropical fruit, and specialty wines, and instructors were on hand to explain classes taught to the seniors. The seniors' beautiful artwork and handmade crafts such as quilts and knit items made a wonderful display that everyone present admired.

The Brazil Sailing Cup, a leg on the annual circuit of the World Match Racing Tour (successor to the Swedish Match Racing Tour), took place on March 14-19 in Angra Dos Reis, Brazil. The inaugural Brazil Sailing Cup is Stage 5 of the 2005-'06 World Tour schedule, which features nine stages.
