The St. Peter's CYO Senior Boys Basketball team concluded its regular season in the top division of Nassau-Suffolk CYO with an impressive 7-3 record.
In order to qualify for the playoffs, the team needed to win its last game on Feb. 28 which it did in dramatic fashion with a 54-51 victory over St. Agnes in Rockville Centre. The St. Peter's team played "clutch" basketball all year as evidenced by the fact that it won three of its games during the season by a combined total of 8 points.
The team is comprised of four high school seniors (Rob Morici, Pascal Spagna, John Papa and Chris Rapone) and six juniors (Mike Duranti, Kevin Alas, Patrick Andriola, Arthur Conte, Sal Seravillo and Oliver Musso).
St. Peter's will now advance to the first round of the playoffs on Saturday, March 11.
