Stuart Katz, a graduate of Paul D. Schreiber High School, Class of 2001, where he was a star player on the Boys Varsity Volleyball team went on to play at Ohio State. Stu has helped "The Buckeyes" to secure wins over UCLA and Penn State at the Outrigger Invitational Tournament where he was selected the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, Shondell/Dunlap Division Player of the Week. He is the outside hitter for eighth-ranked Ohio State (7-1).
Katz had 13 kills in OSU's first-ever victory over UCLA, adding four digs, three assist blocks and an ace serve. Against Hawaii, he had 10 kills. Katz recorded a career-high 28 kills against Penn State. He was named to the Outrigger Invitational All-Tournament Team for his outstanding play.
Stu is the son of Ralph and Ellen Katz who still reside in Port Washington. Stu has a brother, Mike and a sister, Dorothy.
