This past fall season eight varsity teams qualified for the distinction of "Scholar Athlete Team Award." A team earns this recognition if a predetermined number of team members achieve an academic average above 90. The number is dependent on the size of the team. This program is sponsored by the Pupil Benefits Plan, Inc., which is under the direction of The New York State Public High School Athletic Association. The purpose of this program is to recognize those programs which encourage high performance in both athletics and academics.

High School Principal Jay Lewis said, "We are extremely proud of the achievements of our student athletes. Congratulations to the students, their parents and the coaches." Logo
