The Board of Education of the Port Washington School District seeks your input at a community forum: "The Future of Education in Port Washington: An Opportunity for the Community to Have Direct Input." The meeting will be held on Monday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Schreiber High School. This is an opportunity for all residents of our community to express their views.
"Education is everyone's business," says Geoffrey N. Gordon, superintendent of schools. "No matter who you are or what role you play in Port Washington, your ideas are very important to the school district as we continue to improve our educational services. We hope that many residents will join us to express their views and share their ideas." The forum will feature brief remarks from Robert Seiden, president of the board of education and the superintendent, followed by break-out sessions where everyone will have a chance to be heard.
In order to reach out to the community, transportation and child care will be provided. A Spanish translator will also be available. For information on any of these services, please call the number below.
Pre-registration is appreciated but not required. Please call the Department of Continuing and Community Education at 767-5474 to facilitate planning for this event. Additional information is available at the school district's website, www.portnet.k12.ny.us or by calling 767-5474.
