An advertisement in the Port Washington News stating Yvette from Razzano's now worked at Glen Cove's Buongustaio tipped off many that Razzano's might be gone for good. A phone call to Yvette confirmed that Razzano's is permanently closing both its stores.

Martha Trocolli of Port Washington said what many others are feeling; she misses the Italian Deli. "I got a lot of things there that I couldn't get elsewhere in town." Elise Tucker of Port Washington said, "Their chicken/vegetable burgers were the best; both children and adults loved to eat them." Bob Maslow will miss the eggplant parmesan because "it was better tasting than the same dish at any restaurant."
