Coach Robert Busby former head wrestling coach at Schreiber High School in Port Washington will be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Friday April 21, 2006 at the Huntington Hilton. Coach Busby is being inducted into The National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater Oklahoma for a lifetime of service to wrestling. He has been sponsored for this very prestigious award by Hofstra University and The Friends of Long Island Wrestling. Coach Busby, who wrestled for Hofstra University, has lived in Roslyn Heights for 36 years and coached high school wrestling as well as youth wrestling for 38 years. He has been an active member of Roslyn Rescue Fire Company for 35 years and has served many terms as president and on the board of trustees. Following his successful tenure at Port Washington where he earned top 10 honors in NYS history for wins, he worked as an assistant coach to the Hofstra Pride Wrestling Team.
