Pride in Port 2005 Fever Has Begun

Pictured above are members of the Pride in Port Committee and local officials at the special ceremony that renames Main Street for Pride in Port Week. This year the honor was bestowed posthumously upon George "Sarge" Mahoney, who passed away last October.

"Sarge" is also this year's Pride in Port Parade Grand Marshal. The parade is this Saturday, Oct. 29. It steps off at noon and proceeds from Landmark to the LIRR train station.
