One would be remiss if one didn't add the names of individuals who were also very instrumental in making the Bay Walk project a reality. In addition to the names reported in the lead article of the Oct. 6 issue of Port News, the following individuals must also be recognized. In the forefront of that list is Thomas Imperatore, chairman of the Planning Board of the Village of Port Washington North. It was his vision and impetus that put this project "on the table" and it was with his perseverance that it reached the point mentioned in the subject article. Another member of the Village of Port North Planning Board who was instrumental in shepherding this project in conjunction with the development of the waterfront (not mentioned in the article) and headed a steering committee by holding a number of meetings to elicit local community input, is Dr. Irwin Kellner. The undersigned was also involved in reviewing and making certain recommendations to the grant applications and other related documents. It is only proper, therefore, that these individuals are equally and deservedly recognized.
Stanley L. Ronell
Deputy Chairman, Planning Board, Village of Port Washington North
