Great news for the community and especially for the students of Weber Middle School. The fall teams that had to be pushed to the sidelines due to the defeat of the budget have now been reinstated. The four fall sports teams back on board are: Girls' soccer, boys' soccer, football and field hockey. As in previous years, there will once again be a team for seventh- and eighth-grades. Kevin Baudo, athletic coordinator of Weber Middle School, said., "This is great news. So many students and parents were disappointed with the loss of some of our sports teams. We now anxiously look forward to welcoming our students back to school this season with a positive outlook!"
In addition, the Boys' JV2 Soccer team at Schreiber High School is also reinstated. The district's athletic director, Rose Bonanno, said, "This is wonderful news. The district works so hard to provide a positive experience for the students through sports. It makes for such a well-rounded student."
