  • News: Edith Spivack Goldstein Passes at 95

    Edith Spivack Goldstein, one of Port's favorite daughters, passed away last week at the age of 95 from complications from a fall. On Friday, a stream of people who admired, respected and loved her filled the home of her daughter, Amy Bass, who, not surprisingly, is also considered a favorite daughter here in Port. FULL STORY

  • News: Manhasset Bay Water Quality Rated Good

    The Town of North Hempstead in conjunction with the Nassau County Department of Health has found that the water quality levels in Manhasset Bay are good. Sources monitoring the bay have said, if they were required to assure the public that a beach on the bay was safe for bathers, they would do so. Weekly open water testing procedures, which began last year, confirm this finding. FULL STORY
