Notice that dapper gentleman in the restaurant lately? He is Pasquale Veneziano, owner of La Coquille Restaurant in Manhasset who has joined the Port Washington Yacht Club as the full time assistant general manager reporting to Jorge. La Coquille is regarded as the premier Long Island classic French Restaurant. Zagat called it "like a restaurant in Paris." In addition to La Coquille, which Pasquale has owned since 1984 and his son now manages, he also owned Classico Restaurant until 2004 which Zagat called a "classy, stylish Roslyn Italian restaurant whose friendly owner Pasquale was well respected by its regulars."
Pasquale is responsible for all aspects of the restaurant and catering operations at the club. PWYC Vice Commodore William J. Downey believes that his knowledge and touch will afford members and their guests a superb ambiance and dining experience. "We welcome Pasquale!" said Downey.
