Barbara Goldstein is a founder of Landmark on Main Street, a not-for-profit organization created to save and restore for community use a former school, now a community center. Barbara, through her tireless efforts and support, including service as the organization's president, helped to shape Landmark's vision and to convert the Landmark building, now nearly 100 years old and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, into a vibrant community center serving individuals in Port Washington and neighboring communities. Landmark is home to the beautiful Jeanne Rimsky Theater which provides high quality programs ranging from community theater and town hall meetings to world famous talent. Landmark is also home to three wonderful not-for-profit organizations-the Port Washington Children's Center, the Port Washington Parent Resource Center and the Teen Center. The building also provides housing for low-income seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
