board of directors for 10 years. He has been instrumental in developing and running PYA's annual golf outing, which has been a major fundraiser for the group.
Ed McIlhenny, who played college lacrosse at the US Air Force Academy, got his start in PYA as a fifth-grader playing lacrosse at Lion's Field. Throughout his life, he has continued to play, coach and ref the sport. He lives in Wichita, KS and is a captain for American Airlines and a brigadier general in the Kansas Air National Guard.
On June 17, these new inductees will join other Hall of Fame members, such as Harvey and Barry Cohen, Marty Bergin, Dan O'Connell, Gene Sheridan, Guy Crawford, Pat Doyle and Jon FitzGerald as past PYA honorees. The dinner will kick off with a cocktail hour at 7:30 p.m., dining and dancing from 8:30 p.m. to midnight and a silent auction and raffle prizes, too. The price is $110 per person (including open bar) in advance and is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. A souvenir journal will also be published. Tickets are selling quickly. For reservations contact Ron Henderson, PYA executive director at 883-0696, or the Arena Sports Center at 767-5108.
