It has become tradition for the girls basketball team that at the last practice of the season, the girls trade in their practice jerseys for costumes. "We've been doing this for about seven years now," said Coach Liz Hutchinson. "I think the whole thing got started when we had a big game coming up and we were the underdogs." The girls said, "If we win, we're dressing up for practice and the captains become coach for the day." Coach Hutch agreed and the rest is history. Another piece is that the girls get to pick the costume for the coach. This year the girls dressed Coach Hutch as Minnie Mouse. Captains Erin Betsch, Michelle Doscas and Emlyn Diakow led the practice. "I think they worked the girls harder than I do," said Coach Hutch. "It's the perfect, most fun and constructive way to end a terrific season." Logo
