We have been residents of Port Washington North since August 1969. For these many years we had been fortunate in that our village administration had been in the capable hands of Mayor Tom Pellegrino.
How lucky we were to have such a person devote so much of his personal time, talent and energy for his neighbors. Under his guidance and leadership our village has prospered and become the delightful, beautiful and safe community that it is today.
We were saddened to learn that Tom has decided to step down and turn the leadership over to the very capable hands of the other active members of his village administration such as Bob Weitzner, Mike Schenkler and Steve Cohen. Daria Hoffman is joining their dynamic team.
On Tuesday, March 15, there will be a Village Election at the Village Hall, 71 Old Shore Road from noon until 9 p.m. Even though Bob, Mike and Daria are running unopposed, it would be a nice gesture to cast a vote for the candidates in order to show them our support and tell Tom how we appreciated his team's efforts.
