We are thrilled to report that the re-opening of the South Salem Elementary School was very successful, despite pouring rain. We wish to express our gratitude, both personally and on behalf of our Salem HSA, to the entire community for its support and assistance in getting us up and running.

Special thanks go to the four other elementary schools in the district. The generous monetary contributions from the Guggenheim PTA, the Manorhaven, PTA, the Sousa HSA, and the Daly HSA will be put to good use as we continue to improve the school for our staff and students. In addition, the leadership of all those parent groups have been very helpful to us as we form our own HSA.

We also wish to thank the staff of the Dolphin Book Shop. Their support of our school wishlist and the wonderful donations of books from their customers will go a long way in enhancing our library collections.

We are fortunate to have such strong community support and we look forward to a great school year at Salem.
