The undersigned residents of Bogart Avenue wish to express their disappointment at the decision of the board of education to proceed with the construction of a "temporary" parking lot opposite numbers 18, 20 and 22 Bogart Avenue and adjacent to 23 Bogart Avenue. This decision was reached notwithstanding the grossly inadequate notice to the neighborhood and the objections by the neighbors based on issues of additional traffic, safety, inadequate planning and engineering, neighborhood quality and aesthetics. The board, with the exception of Mr. Nardone, appears to accept with little question or critical analysis the recommendations of Dr. Gordon and his staff. For his part, Dr. Gordon displayed a level of indifference to our concerns which we most emphatically do not appreciate.
