My family has been in Port Washington for 150 years, my husband's family since Colonial days. We have been saddened by the cementing over of Port Washington, especially by the Port Washington School District.

It has been brought to our attention that they propose to build a parking lot on the field adjacent to Bogart Avenue. We lived at 18 Old Hills Lane for 22 years. One of the great pleasures of the area was the school fields.

We suggest that the PW school supervisor spend more time and energy on school problems and less on creating more parking spaces.
