Peter Wyatt Weston, 79, of Freeville, NY, passed away on April 28, 2004, at home, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He grew up on Long Island. During WWII he served in the European and Pacific Theaters with the 3rd Army Engineers. Peter was formerly of Port Washington. He, and his wife Margery, an RN (former CCU nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn), owned and operated the Boatyard "Weston Marine Service" on Long Island from 1950 to 1984, when they retired to their present home in Freeville. There they spent 20 wonderful years creating a homestead for family to come to. Peter was a man of many talents, he was loved by all who knew him. There was nothing he could not do or make or build or create and there was nothing he would not do for those he loved. He will be missed every day.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Margery Price Weston of Freeville; his daughter, Robin Weston of Freeville; sons, Douglas (Lois) Weston of Port Washington, Glenn (Dotty) Weston-Murphy of Guilford, CT and Todd (Jennifer) Weston of Virginia; grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher (Alyssa Root) and Erica Yengo, Matthew, Keith (Jennifer) and Jennifer Weston, Alyson and Michael Weston-Murphy, Wyatt and Luke Weston; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Cameron Weston.
