Jean Patricia La Pera, 70, of Venice, FL, died on Feb. 13, 2004. She was born on Sept. 11, 1933 in Port Washington. She was a probation assistant for Nassau County. She was vice president of the Council of Catholic Women, president of the Jacaranda Women's Club. She was an excellent bridge player and loved water color painting. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice. Wife of Al for 49 years. Mother of Lynn Cook of East Meadow, Richard La Pera of Levittown and William La Pera of Farmingville. Sister of John J. Whyte of Clearwater, FL, Scott T. Whyte of Port Washington and William F. Whyte of Gilsum NH. Grandmother of five. Arrangements were made by the Ewing Funeral Home, Venice.
