Proposed Redistricting Plan Presented
After months of meetings, study and discussions, and several appeals to community members for their input, the redistricting plan was formulated by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Geoffrey Gordon. He stressed that he tried to make the plan beneficial to the children and to the taxpayers, and thanked all the staff, parents and taxpayers who participated in helping him create the plan.

While being landlocked for the duration of this cold front that has kept Manhasset Bay frozen throughout January, the next best thing sailors can do is dream of warmer weather and busy themselves making plans for the spring and summer. Port Basketball Soars to Victory
To say it's been a rough few weeks for the boys varsity basketball team would be putting it very lightly. They suffered through a plague of injuries and transitions from last year into this year. However, last Friday night, Port's team seemed to be revived in front of their hometown fans in a spirited victory over Long Beach (3-4), to improve their league record to (2-4). It was a must needed victory for the Vikings if they are to have any hope of making it to the playoffs and playing for a county championship. But if they continue to play the way they did last Friday night, those dreams might not be so far fetched after all.
