Thirteen additional states, from as far west as California and as far south as Texas, as well as Bermuda and Canada also were represented. Local boats and skippers include Antipodes (Santa Cruz 52), Jim Miller, skipper, who grew up in Port Washington and resides in Laurel Hollow (Manhasset Bay YC), Andiamo (J105), Paul Strauch, Douglaston (Manhasset Bay YC), Avalanche (Farr 39.5), Craig Albrecht, Glen Head (Port Washington YC), R-Wave (ILC 40), Ira Futterman, Kew Gardens (Knickerbocker YC), Promise Kept (Beneteau 36.7), Leslie and Sandy Lindenbaum, Port Washington (Knickerbocker YC), Solution (Farr 40), and John Thomson, Port Washington (Manhasset Bay YC).
