The Nassau County legislature led the way in implementing a major far-reaching smoking ban, which will affect the environment of virtually every adult in the county. Nassau's anti-smoking law went into effect March 1 and prohibits smoking in virtually all workplaces in the county. Warm weather on Sunday, April 13 brought out nine teams of frostbiters to compete in one of the last days of Sunday racing. Wind was out of the NW at 5-8 knots, and six races were completed including a crew race.
