The Bart J. Ruggiere Memorial Foundation and the Ruggiere, Gerbasi and Fontana families are inviting you to join them on March 22 for a Special Ski Event at Bromley Mountain in Peru, Vermont (five minutes from Manchester).
On September 11, 2001, they lost a husband, a brother and dear friend who was an extraordinary force in their lives. Bart was 32 years old, married 18 months and worked at Cantor Fitzgerald a mere six months when he, along with the other 2,800 people, fell victim to the terrorist attacks on the United States that day. He was a man of many passions and one of them was skiing. President's Weekend of 2001 was Bart's last trip to Bromley Mountain. In Bart's memory, these families have come together and formed the Bart J. Ruggiere Adaptive Sports Program, an organization that provides ski training to children and adults with disabilities. It enables people with physical disabilities to enjoy the thrill of outdoor sports. The Bart Sports Center has 30 volunteers and is a non-profit foundation. They hope to expand the program to kayaking and horseback riding, as well.
They welcome you to ski Bromley Mountain in support of the Bart J. Ruggiere Foundation. Lift tickets will be $30 a day or $60 for the weekend. Tickets are to be purchased on the 2nd floor of the main lodge between 8:15-10:30 a.m. on the 22nd, or you can call 802-824-5522, ext. 430.
