I want to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of the 16th Assembly District for their overwhelming support on Election Day. I am gratified to know that I continue to have the confidence of the residents whom I have been privileged to serve for 16 years, as well as those whom I will now have the honor of serving as a result of reapportionment.

I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the important role your newspaper played during the campaign season. Your reporting of relevant information was key to keeping the voters informed. I look forward to continuing to work on the issues that are important to our community and the new challenges that will come during the upcoming legislative session.
